Mastering the alphabet

Hi everyone!
I wanted to post a few items to help your kiddos learn all their letters and sounds. This past week, I sent home their test scores for upper case and lower case letter recognition as well as letter sounds. I will be testing students three times every trimester.

Here is a list of some resources to use outside of school:

Online:
Student username and passwords went home during back to school night. If you were unable to attend, this information will be going home on Monday.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you are unable to log in.

Fun online website was activities and videos for kids

Youtube Songs:
We do this song EVERYDAY! Each character also has their own hand gesture. If you child listens to this song, make sure they are singing it and dancing along, just like they would do it class.

Paper/Pencil Activities
Print out these cards and play games:
-put in order (timer)
-Guess my card (head bandz)
-1, 2, 3 draw (who can flip and name their card the fastest keeps the cards)
-Print two sets and play match

-Say it, sound it, write it (pencil, marker, crayon, shaving cream, sand)

-Say it, sound it, build it (play doh, legos, wikki stix)

Get creative and have fun!

As we get further along in our curriculum and begin to focus on one letter a week, I will post songs for that letter!

Have a great rest of the day!
