Look into our week: Unit 4 week 1 (1/29-2/2)

Good morning parents and guardians, 

Please be sure to check your child's backpack everyday to clean it out and look at important papers.


Many parents have asked if our class is in need of any items. Here are some items our class can use as our supplies begin to run low:
-Glue Sticks
-White Board Markers (any colors or size)
-Kleenix


Scholastic Book Orders
Scholastic Books-not only do they have monthly books for $1, but you help the class earn point to purchase books. Feel free to place an order using the link below and use our classroom identification code. Book orders are usually delivered in a week and a half.

Hand Signals: (show me the number of fingers in the air)
1 finger: restroom
Encourage your child to use the restroom before school, during both recesses, lunch and after school.
2 fingers:water
Children may bring their own water bottle to keep in class, please LABEL it with their name
3 fingers: pencil
Student may replace their dull or broken pencil for a new one
4 fingers: tissue
when needed, please ask student to sit back down right away
5 fingers: question

#2: Follow directions quickly
#3: Respect others, respect yourself, respect your school
#4: Raise your hand to speak or stand
#5: Keep your hands to yourself

    Look into our week Unit 3 week 6: 1/22-1/26

    Good afternoon parents and guardians, 

    Please be sure to check your child's backpack tomorrow and every other day to clean it out. The following items will be going home tomorrow: math test, Language Arts Comprehension test, "I like" writing test, Science test, new biweekly homework packet (to stay at home for practice), February scholastic book order flyer, new RTI/ELD placement form and Second Trimester progress report.
    Progress reports DO NOT need to be signed and returned. Also, RTI/ELD is only 30 min per day. If you have any question about your child's placement, please let me know.

    January Family Project Due 1/29
    To kick off this new year, this month's family project will be a little differs. Going home tomorrow will be a black and white "Sammy the Snowball". Student are to first color it, to make it their own, then take him on some adventures. 
    At the end of the month, students will present to the class some of the activities they did with Sammy. A poster board with pictures would be a great visual.
