Look into our week 3/27-3/30

Good afternoon parents and guardians, 
SCHEDULE UPDATE for Wednesdays:
 Lunch will now be at 11 am for Kinder
Be sure to check our our Shutterfly page for our latest classroom pictures. If you would like access, please email me for a special invite. Also, don't forget all parents/guardians were given access to teachers grade books. I try to update my grades right away after the students take a test.

With a new year upon us, some of our classroom supplies have begun to run low. Donations of the following items would be greatly appreciated!
-glue sticks
-Gently used board games or card games

 Please continue to reinforce the following hand signals and rules: 
Hand Signals: (show me the number of fingers in the air)
1 finger: restroom
Encourage your child to use the restroom before school, during recess, during lunch, during PE and after school.
2 fingers:water
Children may bring their own water bottle to keep in class, please LABEL it with their name
3 fingers: pencil
Student may replace their dull or broken pencil for a new one
4 fingers: tissue
when needed, please ask student to sit back down right away
5 fingers: question
question for me to give more information on

Classroom rules:
#1: Listen while the teacher is talking
#2: Follow directions quickly
#3: Respect others, respect yourself, respect your school
#4: Raise your hand to speak or stand
#5: Keep your hands to yourself
#6: Keep your dear teacher happy

    • Home activities: Look for the letter Xx (in all types of fonts)
    • Say words that begin/end with the letter Xx
    • Draw pictures that begin/end with the letter Xx
    • Sound  out  blend CVC words (determine if real or silly)

    • Make a list words with these endings
      • -ax, -ex, -ix, -ox, -ux

What a great MARCH Family project! The kids had so much fun presenting and setting up their traps on Thursday. I was sad to have missed their reaction on Friday morning, but I can not wait to talk to them tomorrow and hear all about it!

Look into our week 3/6-3/10

Good afternoon parents and guardians, 

What a fun week! The kids had a great time dressing up differently every day of the week. Special thanks to our guest readers on Thursday! The kiddos really enjoyed listening to some new Dr. Seuss books!
Also, new MARCH family project went home this week. Some ideas can be found below!

STAR testing will begin this week. Please remind your child to try their very best and listen to all the directions.
