Last week of school

Day of Play-June 19
Student may bring in 2 toys/games to play with.
Items brought to school must be in their backpack, bag or box.
Please do not send technology


Full day of school June 21

Full Day-End of year luau-June 22
Regular full day-School is out at 3
Classroom celebration is set to begin at 1:30
Free Hawaiian Dress day
If you would like to bring in anything that is not on the sign up list for the celebration please let me know!

Tentative Schedule:
Food party 1: 30-2:00
Clean up/set up for class awards: 2:00-2:15
Classroom awards with red carpet: 2:15-2:35
Meet the stars (autographs): 2:35-2:50
Pack up for the last time: 2:50-3:00

Kindergarten Graduation-June 23 @ 8:30
JURUPA CAMPUS (sanctuary)
Kinders have free dress
Kinders will be wearing a cap (if you would like to decorate your cap, please let me know)
June awards will begin at 8:30 followed by the graduation ceremony for all three kinder classes!
We would like to have drinks and cookies for guest. If you are able to donate cookies, please let me know!

Look into our week 6/5-6/9

Good afternoon parents and guardians, 

Our class will be taking their last online STAR test this week (Monday and Tuesday). Please be sure your child is present and on time.

Be sure to check our our Shutterfly page for our latest classroom pictures. If you would like access, please email me for a special invite. Also, don't forget all parents/guardians were given access to teachers grade books. I try to update my grades right away after the students take a test.

With a new year upon us, some of our classroom supplies have begun to run low. Donations of the following items would be greatly appreciated!
-Gently used board games or card games
-Lysol disinfecting spray

 Please continue to reinforce the following hand signals and rules: 
Hand Signals: (show me the number of fingers in the air)
1 finger: restroom
Encourage your child to use the restroom before school, during recess, during lunch, during PE and after school.
2 fingers:water
Children may bring their own water bottle to keep in class, please LABEL it with their name
3 fingers: pencil
Student may replace their dull or broken pencil for a new one
4 fingers: tissue
when needed, please ask student to sit back down right away
5 fingers: question

Language Arts: Unit 6-week 5: "The house Tony lives in"
Words to talk about: words found in the story
Words to read: HFW/Sight words
  • Weekly reading comprehension test: Every Friday (Based on the comprehension skill of the week)
  • High Frequency Words (HFW-also known as Sight words : Same set of words last for two weeks. These words are meant to be read just by seeing them.
Math: end of year final
    • Given Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Science: STEAM EXPO-
  • Students will be able to state facts about paleontologist tools
Writing: The Writing house
  • Final wiring test FRIDAY, JUNE 9
  • Write sentences with a "WHO",  "WHAT", "WHERE", "WHEN", "WHY" and "HOW"
    • Exp: The dog  quickly ran into the house  at noon because he was hot.

  • Practice paper (print and use at home)
