Look into our week 5/30-6/2

Good afternoon parents and guardians, 

Be sure to check our our Shutterfly page for our latest classroom pictures. If you would like access, please email me for a special invite. Also, don't forget all parents/guardians were given access to teachers grade books. I try to update my grades right away after the students take a test.

With a new year upon us, some of our classroom supplies have begun to run low. Donations of the following items would be greatly appreciated!
-Gently used board games or card games
-Lysol disinfecting spray

 Please continue to reinforce the following hand signals and rules: 
Hand Signals: (show me the number of fingers in the air)
1 finger: restroom
Encourage your child to use the restroom before school, during recess, during lunch, during PE and after school.
2 fingers:water
Children may bring their own water bottle to keep in class, please LABEL it with their name
3 fingers: pencil
Student may replace their dull or broken pencil for a new one
4 fingers: tissue
when needed, please ask student to sit back down right away
5 fingers: question

#2: Follow directions quickly
#3: Respect others, respect yourself, respect your school
#4: Raise your hand to speak or stand
#5: Keep your hands to yourself

If you would possibly like to be a chaperone please let me know and I will place your name in the raffle. Only 5 parents from each class will be chosen.

6/14: Full day of school

6/15: Earl Release day at 1pm NO AFTER SCHOOL
Spring Performance
Tk-2 Show begins at 4:30
Students will report to teachers at 4:00

6/16: Donuts with dads

6/19: Day of play

6/21: Full day of school

6/22: Rustin Kindergarten Graduation @ 1:30

6/23: Last day of school-End of year party

  • Weekly reading comprehension test: Every Friday (Based on the comprehension skill of the week)
  • High Frequency Words (HFW-also known as Sight words : Same set of words last for two weeks. These words are meant to be read just by seeing them.
    • This week's words: the, was, to, like, from
Math: Unit 14-addition and subtraction
Science: STEAM EXPO-
  • Students will be able to state facts about paleontologist
Writing: The Writing house
  • Write sentences with a "WHO",  "WHAT", "WHERE", "WHEN", "WHY" and "HOW"
    • Exp: The dog  quickly ran into the house  at noon because he was hot.

  • Practice paper (print and use at home)
