Look into our week 6/8-6/12

Good morning parents and guardians,

14 more days for our kiddos to become first graders, where has time gone?Lots more fun events are coming up, information will be going home, or posted on our classroom easel and of course here on the blog. Please check on a weekly basis for the most up to date information.
I will be out of the classroom June 11. Please remind students to be on their best behavior this day.

                          Some important news from the PTO and dates to keep in mind:
New information or changes in purple
6/8: PTO meeting

6/10: Last day to submit 100 mile club miles for credit

6/12: Family Friday (Tk/K lunch at 11:00)
6/18: STEAM Expo 5:50-7:15
6/18: City council meeting
6/19: Donuts for dads


Last week of school
6/22: Sports day
Tk-1 course time 8:30-10:30
Need: 5 volunteers to lead group of students around course
Need: 2 parents to be in charge of our booth
2nd-4th course time 11:30-1:30
Need: 2 parents to be in charge of our booth

6/23: Kindergarten Field trip-Aquarium of the Pacific
Field trip lunch order forms must be turned in by Tuesday, no later!
Official permission slip went home this Thursday
Please be sure to fill out both sides and send payment (cash only)
DUE: FRIDAY, June 12!
Student price: $5.00
Chaperon price: $20.00 (7 per Kinder class)
Chaperons must drive themselves to and from the trip
Any student who cannot afford to pay may still attend the field trip
All students must ride to and from the field trip on the bus
Siblings are not allowed on field trips
Students who are not attending the field trip are expected to be in class that day

6/24: FULL day of school-End of the year party
Donations list is on our class easel
THANK YOU TO THOSE FAMILIES THAT HAVE SIGNED UP!
Feel free to also bring in anything else you may like (even if it is not on the board)

MobyMax
Continue to use Mobymax at home whenever your child gets a chance. Every child's learning is individualized! This is a great, fun program for the kids to use to reinforce math and language arts skills.
All students now have access to MobyMax once a week during centers, please work with them to help them sign in on their own.


Here is a look into our new week

Language Arts:
  • Story: Unit 6-Week 3 "Building Beavers"

Writing:
  • Paleontologist journal
Math:
  • Math final (will cover everything the students have learned this year
Science:
  •  Paleontologist-What do they do? What tools are best?
Social Studies/Leadership:
  • Kindergarten memories

Please feel free to email me or stop by with any questions or concerns.
Also, please be sure to check online grades. Parents were given access to our grades books at the beginning of the school year. This is a great way to see how your child is doing in class. If your need your access information please see Sarah in the office.
