Look into our week 5/11-5/15

Good morning parents and guardians,

I hope everyone had a great work week. Teacher Appreciation week was AMAZING! I felt so loved and blessed by all of you. Thank you for all that you did, and always. I loved all of my notes, poems, drawings and gifts. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! 

We are running low on the following items, donations would be greatly appreciated:
-Facial tissue/Kleenex
-Baby wipes

                  Some important news from the PTO and dates to keep in mind:
EVERY FRIDAY IN MAY-FREE DRESS FOR OUR CLASS
ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!!!!!! 

5/11: PTO meeting @ 3:30
5/13: Coffee with Director at 8am
5/21: Spring performance 
5/25: NO SCHOOL-in observance of Memorial Day
5/27: Wacky Wednesday 
5/28: May awards Assembly -Tk/K @ 8am
6/10: Last day to submit 100 mile club miles for credit
6/17: STEAM Expo
6/18: End of the year awards assembly-Tk/K @ 8am
6/19: Donuts for dads

Last week of school
6/22: Sports day (more info to come-VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED!)
6/23: Kindergarten Field trip-Aquarium of the Pacific
6/24: FULL day of school-End of the year party
6/25: Last day of school (HALF day)-KINDERGARTEN graduation



MobyMax
Continue to use Mobymax at home whenever your child gets a chance. Every child's learning is individualized! This is a great, fun program for the kids to use to reinforce math and language arts skills.


Here is a look into our new week

Language Arts:
  • Story: Unit 5-Week 6 "This is the way we get to school"


  • Unit  5 final (FRIDA): HFW covered-yellow, blue, green, what, said, was, where, come
Writing:
  • Writing 
    • Finish: I love my mom
Math:
  • Finish Chapter 19: Measurement
    • Students will be able to compare weights using nonstandard units
    • Students will be able to compare containers according to capacity
    • Students will be able to compare events according to duration
  • Begin Chapter 20: Money
    • Students will be able to recognize penny, nickel, dime and quarter
Science:
  •  Bees
    • Students will be able to describe a bee's life
  • Donations: Honey flavored foods, for the kids to try this Friday
Social Studies/Leadership:
  • California's History and state information
  • Leadership: Responsibility-responsible for self and well being

Please feel free to email me or stop by with any questions or concerns.
Also, please be sure to check online grades. Parents were given access to our grades books at the beginning of the school year. This is a great way to see how your child is doing in class. If your need your access information please see Sarah in the office.
