Look into our week 3/16-3/20

Good morning parents and guardians,

I hope everyone is enjoying this Saturday.  We still had a few students out this week, hoping everyone gets better and avoids getting sick. To prevent more students from getting sick please remind your children to cough/sneeze into their elbow, use tissue, wash their hands, keep their hands out of their mouths and just be careful in general. With this said, I would really appreciate it if I could possibly get some Kleenex boxes donated and some Lysol disinfecting spray. If your are able to donate any of these items, THANK YOU!

PTO is currently hosting PIZZA*4*PAPER. More information can be found below. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Here is a look into our new week

Language Arts:
  • Story: Unit 4-Week 5 "If you could go to Antarctica"


Writing:
  • Favorite food
    • Choose and give reasons
Math:
  • Continue with Chapter 14: Number Facts
    • Students will be able to decompose numbers to 10
      • Ways to make numbers 0-10
        • Ex: 7= 7+0, 6+1, 5+2, etc
    • Students will be able to combine sets to make 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10
    • Students will be able to combine sets and say how many more are needed to make 10
    • Students will be able to compose numbers to 20
    • Key terms: number bond, part, and whole
Science:
  • Tinker project-Marble run (Monday and Tuesday-more days will be added if need)
  • Finish Chapter 5: Earth and Sky
    • Students will be able to describe and record weather
    • Students will be able to describe weather patterns of the seasons
    • Test
Social Studies/Leadership:
  • Unit 4-Lesson 2: Is it land or water?
    • Students will distinguish between and wear on maps and globes and locate general areas referenced in historical legends and stories
  • Leadership: Lead by example

Also, please be sure to check online grades. Parents were given access to our grades books at the beginning of the school year. This is a great way to see how your child is doing in class. If your need your access information please see Sarah in the office.
