Look into our week 2/17-2/20

Good morning parents and guardians, 

I hope you are enjoying this long weekend! PTO is currently hosting PIZZA*4*PAPER. More information can be found below. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Reminder about 100th day this Wednesday, students are allowed to dress up as 100 year old! Here are some ideas:



Here are is some important new from the PTO and dates to keep in mind:

2/16: President's day-No school
2/18: 100th day of school and Practice Drill @9:00 am
2/23: Black History Month Performance 1:30-3:00
-We will be singing a Martin Luther King song
-Feel free to have students practice the song at home
2/26 Awards Assembly
2/27: Meet the Masters with Mr. Ruben (Art lesson)



Here is a look into our new week

Language Arts:
  • Story: Unit 4-Week 1 "Rooster's off to see the world"


Math:
  • Finish Chapter 10: Ordinal Numbers
    • Students will be able to sequence events
    • Students will be able to understand first, second and third in terms of position
    • Students will be able to rank, first, second and third.
  • Begin Chapter 11:Calendar Patterns
    • Students will know the days of the week
    • Students will know the months of the year
Science:
  • Begin Chapter 6-Objects
    • Students will be able to identify and describes what they observe with the senses.
    • Students will be able to describe objects by their composition
    • Students will be able to describe items by their characteristics
    Social Studies:
    • Chinese New Year
    Leadership:
    • Resilience- Black struggles for equality

    Thank you to those families that donated items towards our Valentines celebration and stopped by to help! It would not be what it was without you. Thank you for all the cards, candy and gifts. I am one lucky teacher!!!!!
