Good evening parents and guardians, 

Here is a look into our week.

Language Arts:

• Unit 6-Week 1-"Building with Dad" 
• Content Knowledge: Building a School
• Phonological Awareness: Medial /a/ and /i/
• Phonics: /a/ Spelled Aa and /i/ Spelled Ii
• Comprehension Skill: Compare and Contrast
• Handwriting: Write A, a and I, i
• Sight words-will begin to review words of the year
• here, do, little, with, what
• Words to talk about
• groundbreaking, trenches, foundation, welding, waterproof, gleaming
• Words to read
• here, do, what, little, with, from, jam, van, mix, quit, hill, bag
• Math
• Finish unit 17
• Test will be given Tuesday
• Students will be able to count up to 30 by identifying groups of tens and ones
• Begin Unit 19
• Students will be able to count to 100 by 10's
• Students will be able to count to 100
• Science
• Finish up Unit D-Chapter 6- Objects 
• Our test is scheduled for Wed
• 5 senses, classify and categorize objects

Classroom/school news:

•  5/5 Cinco De Mayo celebration in classroom after performances around 2:30 pm
• 5/9 Muffins for Moms
• REACH would love to provide muffins to all our special moms
• Time:7:15-7:35 in the gym

• 5/22 Spring Performance
• Flier went home yesterday, I would love for my class to wear all black this day and wear sunglasses. I think it will go great with the song the kids have chosen to dance to.
